Easy Drywall Repair

Whether you have a small hole in your sheet-rock wall the size of a gold ball or a large one the size of a basketball, it can be repaired with just a few simple strokes.

First go to a new home sub-division, find a house that has just been sheet rocked and find a scrap a little larger than the hole you are going to repair. You will need some drywall tape, and joint compound. Gather up several tools such as a little keyhole saw, a small trowel, and drywall screws along with an electric drill.

Cut a square hole just a little larger than the one you are repairing and cut a new piece of drywall using your cut out as the template for the replacement piece. To secure the new piece, use some metal drywall clips or screw some little strips of wood inside of the wall in order to have a backing to fasten the new drywall plug into.

Tape and float and let it dry overnight. The next day apply a final skim coat to fill in for the shrinkage. After this is dry, sand and apply your stipple. After the stipple is dry, you are ready to paint and admire the good job you have done and enjoy the money you have saved.
